1718. it's strange how people you havent met in a while dont seem to recognise you on the streets but are able to do so after you approach them on social networks sites?

in real life:

"im sorry, do i know you?"

on facebook:

"hey it's you! so how have you been? i think (after checking out all your wonderful pictures on your facebook albums) we havent seen each other in prolly like a year?"

i thought to myself, "wow. not really, cause it's been almost 3!"

what is this becoming of? are virtual identities and presences turning into some kind of new society trend that supersedes our real memories of another human being? so much that you rely on flickr pictures, facebook comments or tweets to individualise a person?

what have we become? puppets of the world wide web? whatever happened to face to face interaction, body language and the uniqueness in everyone's scent and voice? everything has been diluted by information on "personalised" facebook profiles and psuedo memories rebuilt from flickr images.

this is seriously abhorrent!
