0117. the weekend plans didnt work out as i thought, but it still turned out well.

hung out with old frens on friday. we went for dinner together after i sat and watched them hack apart a side of a cpu casing. not something you see everyday. then headed to a lan shop and gamed our hearts out into the wee hours while the outside bawled rain and thunder.

botanic gardens trip with miss octopus was scraped on saturday when some work stuff cropped up for her. we ended up having dim sum for lunch and visiting a temple to offer some incense in exchange for a peace of mind.

bought a new casual blazer that day too, and had to run helter skelter for the shuttle bus at great world city in the downpour. a really gloomy day with all the dark clouds and stuff. and the rain... relentless and unforgiving. miss octopus went home so i had dinner with sky and bunked over his place.

sunday was miss octopus' GE 10k run. went down to show support to my leading lady. im still amazed how someone who doesnt train at all can even complete it. well done!

spent the rest of the last weekend day doing work. then wrapped it up with founder's bah kut teh at balestier. seem to be eating too much of it lately. hmmm. guess somethings need an absence to prove its worth.

anyhoo, overall my weekend wasnt that bad. pretty packed. and im now pretty tired.

gotta rest, if not i'll not be able to start my weekday fight on an "awesome" day such as tomorrow - monday. ah well.

will work for weekends!

ps: didnt quite need any of that halloween crap to make my weekend. maybe next year then. shrugs.
