1518. these days, i feel as if the world has gone mad with turmoil.
the thais and the iranians are have political violence in their own countries. people smashing up property and cars, massive numbers of protesters roaming the streets, clashes, riots... resulting in death and bloodshed.
h1n1 spree is still on the rampage across the world as it claims more lives in the US and infects more people in other countries, namely our own little island city. with schools, army camps, clubs becoming hotspots where people congregate, spreading the infection becomes easy. the number has grown to 315.
tensions of a nuclear war strickens even a peaceful country like ours. as the US navy spots a north korean ship sailing pass china in our direction, being the world's busiest port and refuelling hub, we begin to wonder if taking up "appropriate action" would aggravate this tension. what if they carried weapons? do we intercept? north korea did say that any interception will be seen as "an act of war". the US navy has a destroyer tailing it... but who is it to say that the north koreans won't hurt an innocent US ally to demonstrate their malice?
all this uneasiness is making my head woozy. i dont know much, but sometimes, i feel that it's better to keep my loved ones close. if the world ends tomorrow, i know even if i havent done anything great in life, we are together.
