there is only true meaning in this word when two (or more) parties are compared against one another and one of these parties experience a significant growth apart from the rest.

then again, it's nothing like trying to pit rocks against eggs. or like saying our little island nation is advancing far quicker than our neighbours. progress isnt about a fully functional and normal person winning in the para-olympics.

in essence, you can't really described something has having progressed if that something happens to be the ONLY growing party and there isnt anything else close enough to strike up a comparison. it's merely just growth. or so they say, however skeptically truthful.

so please dont tell me we've progressed. frankly, i dont see the progression, save for the progression of goods and service prices from almost every aspect of our metropolitan life. heightened standard of living my foot.

it's true; in life, the two things that wont go away are death and taxes. but here, we have another thing, or rather a certain peculiar family, that will par si buey zao:
